Meet the Principal

My name is Michele Beers, and I’m honored to serve as the new principal of Belaire Elementary. I’m excited to join this incredible school community and look forward to building strong partnerships with our students, staff, and families.
Originally from San Antonio, I moved to San Angelo in 2012 when my husband received military orders to Goodfellow Air Force Base. As a military spouse and the daughter of a career Army servicemember who served for 27 years, I spent much of my childhood moving from one duty station to another. Those experiences shaped who I am and gave me a deep appreciation for the resilience, adaptability, and diversity found in all communities. My husband and I have made San Angelo our home, and we’re raising our three children here with that same sense of connection and belonging I hope to foster at Belaire.
I’ve served in San Angelo ISD for the past 13 years, including roles as a classroom teacher at Alta Loma Elementary, assistant principal at Bradford Elementary, and most recently, principal of San Jacinto Elementary. Before becoming an educator, I worked as a contractor for the U.S. Army for four years.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Governors University and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Angelo State University.
I’m truly looking forward to getting to know our Belaire students and families. Together, we will make this a great year for our Eagles.
